Have you thought about becoming an L Judge, or do you just want to sharpen your eye and learn more about dressage? Either way, the L Program is the way to do it.
The USDF L Program ("learner" judge program) is a pivotal educational opportunity in the dressage world, fostering a deeper understanding of the sport among riders, trainers, instructors, and aspiring judges. Completion of the full program is also the primary prerequisite for entering the USEF judge-licensing pathway.
KCDS will host the L Program beginning in February 2027. KCDS will offer Sessions A, B, and C of the L Program. This program is open to participants who are seeking to attain their L credential and to auditors who just want to learn more. Each session will be conducted by USDF L Program Faculty and will include both classroom time and demo riders.
Who Should Participate?
Riders of all levels: Improve your understanding of criteria, avoid costly mistakes, and learn exactly what judges are looking for to boost your scores. Auditing is a budget-friendly way to gain these insights!

Aspiring Judges: Begin your formal judge’s training with a solid foundation.
